Shirodhara is a signature Ayurvedic therapy known for its profound ability to calm the mind and stabilize the nervous system
Shirodhara (from Sanskrit Shiro meaning head and Dhara meaning flow) is one of the most powerful and deeply relaxing Ayurvedic treatments. It involves a continuous, rhythmic stream of warm medicated liquid poured gently onto the forehead, specifically targeting the "Third Eye" (Ajna Chakra).
Shirodhara is a therapy from Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine. The word comes from Sanskrit: "Shiro" means head and "Dhara" means flow, indicating a practice of letting liquids flow over the forehead. This technique is primarily used to calm the mind, balance the doshas (vata, pitta, kapha), and support mental and emotional well-being.
